"Ours is a wondrous world. Nature surrounds us. The trees keep us breathing, the beaches provide serenity, the mountains inspire us and the swamps are a mysterious world fostering deep thoughts on our beginnings. There is a symbiotic relationship between humanity and the natural world. It is wondrous and worth exploring."

"In school, I wanted to be watercolor artist. (And I still LOVE watercolor!) But being a mixed media artist now is an intentional choice. It’s just the right way for me to dig in to what’s most interesting to me. I like to see how things fit together. I’m interested in patterns, layers and connections of all kinds. I use low-tech-hands-on-hand-pressed monotype printing of rice paper and fabrics, and I hand paint fabric, then collage and stitch the finished pieces. There are lots of stages and lots of opportunities to experience the work taking shape. My work is an invitation to look beyond the surface of what is easily seen."
"My graphite pencil drawings are called ‘Moments in Time’. For 58 years I’ve drawn from life’s experiences of innocence, loss, inspiration, love, and the many beliefs we embrace throughout life. Seems memories often become a tapestry of our many bits of pleasure and scraps of pain. My graphite pencil drawings are in black and white because I’ve come to believe that most truths are found in the many shades of gray. I draw what I love about this world and what is possible for us in relationship to one another. I’m passionate about depicting the beautiful everyday moments and also our inevitable bouts with madness and pain."
